About Marco:

My name is Marco Iván, a photographer and filmmaker based in Madrid, Spain. My creative journey began through drawing and painting at a young age, experimenting with different techniques before transitioning into photography.

I am self-taught and bought my first professional camera at 18, starting with street photography and later moving into portrait and fashion work through personal projects and collaborations with close friends. These experiences naturally led me to study filmmaking.

At 19, I moved from Mexico to Spain to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Filmmaking, where I am currently in my second year. During this time, I have worked on several short films, writing and directing some while primarily developing my skills as a Director of Photography. I also discovered travel filmmaking — a format that blends my background in street photography with cinematic storytelling.

 

Today, I work across photography, video, and film, driven by curiosity and a constant desire to keep telling stories through image and motion.
